Hello, I’m Sibi

My journey into education began long before Elephant Nest was born. I grew up as a very studious child, always curious and eager to learn. That curiosity helped me secure a university rank in Automobile Engineering at Anna University.

But even with a technical career ahead of me, something in me always pulled toward teaching and helping children learn.

From Engineering to Education – A Purpose Found

I started my career at Royal Enfield in manufacturing engineering. It was exciting, challenging, and taught me how strong systems and processes build great things. But parallelly, I began volunteering to teach children in rural government schools through eVidyaloka. Every single class with those children changed me. Their curiosity, their hunger to learn, and the joy on their faces reminded me that education has the power to change generations. That experience became the turning point of my life.

Building Expertise to Build Better Schools

I went on to pursue an MBA from IIM Sirmaur, specialising in Finance and Operations Management, and topped the international immersion program at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy.

After that, I joined the K–12 education sector to understand learning deeply — not just from a classroom level, but from a systems level. At K12 Techno Services (Orchids The International School Group), I worked on:

  • Developing math curriculum and textbooks

  • Training teachers

  • Improving student learning outcomes

  • Analysing academic performance across schools

I also taught Math to students across India, the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, and later trained 1,000+ teachers to deliver high-quality online classes. This helped me understand how children learn, what confuses them, and what truly helps them grow.

Later, I worked with the Tamil Nadu School Education Department through the Madhi Foundation on the state-wide Ennum Ezhuthum initiative to improve foundational literacy and numeracy in government schools.

All these experiences strengthened one belief:

The early years decide everything.

A child’s confidence, personality, thinking ability, emotional safety, behaviour, leadership — it all starts in the first 6 years.

Why Elephant Nest Was Born

When the time felt right, I returned to what I always wanted to do:
Create a space where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn every day.

Elephant Nest is built on three foundations:

  1. Strong pedagogy – based on global early childhood research

  2. Structured systems – ensuring safety, hygiene, and consistency

  3. Heart-led teaching – because children learn best from warm, responsive adults

I started Elephant Nest out of a passion to nurture the next generation — children who are confident, kind, curious, and capable of leading themselves and others.

What I Want for Your Child

The same thing I wanted for every child I ever taught:
A joyful childhood that builds the foundation for a bright, meaningful future.

At Elephant Nest, your child will learn, play, explore, make friends, grow independently, and be guided by teachers who genuinely care.

Because when a child feels secure, respected, and loved —
everything else starts falling into place.
